郭欣政，1982年生，籍贯河南，系统医学研究院研究员、博士生导师。2004年在河南师范大学生命科学学院获得生物技术学士学位。2009年在北京大学获得生物学博士学位，研究生期间主要研究哺乳动物生殖和发育。2015年在耶鲁大学医学院完成博士后训练，随后在耶鲁大学医学院、西奈山伊坎医学院先后任副研究员、助理教授，主要研究视网膜神经保护和再生。2022年至今在系统医学研究院任研究员、博士生导师。

视网膜是感受、加工和传递视觉信息的关键神经组织。很多疾病会引起视网膜神经细胞损伤和视觉功能丧失。课题组主要围绕视网膜疾病相关的问题，研究神经损伤、保护和修复的机制，开发保护视觉或治疗视觉损伤的方法。
